Annual Grade 4 Bible Liturgy & Retreat

Each year, division grade 4 students are each gifted a brand new bible at our Grade 4 Bible Liturgy. These blessed bibles journey with students throughout elementary school, middle school, high school, and in years beyond.

During the month of October, grade 4 classes gathered to receive their bibles followed by a bible retreat where they learned how to navigate and explore scripture.

"The grade 4 Bible Liturgy is one of my favourite celebrations of the year! Watching the students receive their bibles then sitting down excitedly, flipping through the pages and exploring the Word of God is a beautiful sight to see.

At the retreat following the liturgy, we talked about how in some countries, having a bible would actually be illegal. We want to help the students understand how precious The Word of God is and help them to make it a part of their lives." - Heather Irvine, Religious Education Coordinator 

Bibles for this annual liturgy are purchased with funds collected on Catholic Education Sunday each year. We want to extend our gratitude to local parish communities for their ongoing support for this special event!
