Education Week

Education Week, April 30 – May 4, profiles the vital role education plays in helping students build successful futures for themselves and their communities and highlights the proud legacy of education in the province.

This year’s theme - Learning is a Journey - acknowledges the role education plays in providing students innovative learning opportunities, while also preparing them for careers in a diversified economy.

Education is one of the most important investments that we can make in the future of our children and in the future of Alberta. We have had the pleasure of meeting with many of you and are very proud of all that we have accomplished together to ensure every student has a great education and a bright future. Alberta students deserve the best education we can deliver.

We will continue sharing timely information with you and we look forward to building our strong relationship. We hope you and your schools take the time to celebrate your accomplishments during Education Week.
