Custodial Workers' Recognition Day is October 2

As we reflect on the success of our schools, we recognize that none of it would be possible without our custodial and maintenance team. They are the unseen heroes of our schools, ensuring that every day starts with spotless buildings, well-maintained grounds, and safe spaces for students and staff.

Whether it’s dealing with daily tasks, stepping up during emergencies, or going above and beyond to support special events, their efforts do not go unnoticed. The attention to detail, positive attitudes, and reliability are key to the smooth operation of our schools.

On National Custodial Workers' Recognition Day, we want to take a special moment to celebrate the hallway heroes in our school division. 

Thank you for being an integral part of the Medicine Hat Catholic family. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do.

Dear God,

We praise and thank you for the gift of our custodians.

For all they do to help make our schools safe and welcoming spaces.
For their friendly greetings in the morning and at the end of the day.
For their dedication and the countless unseen extras they do each day.

We ask that you continue to give them joy in their work,
and bless their hands as they serve each day.

Help them know how much we truly appreciate their efforts.
